Sigma Sigma Sigma's purpose is to insure perpetual bonds of friendship, to develop strong womanly character, and to promote
high standards of conduct. Sisters of Zeta Mu make an effort to include these values in our everyday lives in order to uphold
the principles of our sorority and to develop strong sisterhood.
Those who receive much, must give much ... What are my responsibilities as a member of Zeta Mu?
Members of Sigma Sigma Sigma are expected to achieve and maintain at least at 2.5 cumulative grade point average. In order
to help sisters achieve academic success, Zeta Mu requires weekly study buddy sessions. To encourage sisters to remain active
members of our chapter, Zeta Mu uses a point based system for keeping track of participation. Zeta Mu is a dry chapter and
does not include the use of alcohol at our events and does not allow underage drinking.
Being an active member of Zeta Mu means you get to participate in these typical yearly activities:
* One weekend retreat each semester
* Formal in the spring
* Weekly business meetings followed by new member programs
* Holiday party in December
* One Robbie Page Memorial fundraiser
* Community service projects
|
* Two Saturday workshops each semester
* Recruitment week at the beginning of each semester
* 2-3 recruitment/sisterhood events each month
* Weekly study buddy session
* One chapter fundraiser each semester

Sisters do many activities together outside of organized Sigma events. Typical activities include going to UAF hockey games,
seeing movies, having dinner, participating in campus activities, shopping, having lunch together in the Wood Center and even
taking classes together.
